User Experience
For this project, my team and I extensively analyzed an email app, Inkryptic, using a heuristic analysis, usability test, and with in-depth interviews. The purpose of the heuristic analysis was to find the problems that users would face when using the app and to gain a better understanding of the app.

Once we learned what problems were present using the heuristic analysis, we moved on to usability testing, where we came up with a script detailing the tasks for our users to complete. We tested qualified users with the script and took notes and video as they navigated through each task. These tests taught us a lot about Inkryptic and revealed problems that needed to be fixed. This led us to conduct in-depth interviews with people in Inkryptic’s target market. The in-depth interviews helped define the target group's usage of email and gave us a better sense of what we need to keep in mind during the redesign of this app.

Next, we created a persona using the information we gathered from the subject interviews. We tailored our redesign to meet the needs of our persona, since it captures the needs of the average Inkryptic app user.

The first step of our redesign process was to come up with new options for logos, and test them on various users. We tested different people, asking them which logo was their favorite and why. The findings of our test led me to create a new design, which was tested again and determined the best option for Inkryptic’s logo.
Finally, I created a prototype using InVision that integrated some of our overall recommendations for Inkryptic. Our prototype has a short introduction, more concise account setup, effective onboarding, simple app navigation, inbox folder options, a new burn time selection process, and a clearer way to show which emails have been read and unread.

Texas de Brazil Heuristic
As part of a job application, I was asked to perform a Heuristic Analysis of Texas de Brazil's website and present my findings with a slide deck. I used an extensive spreadsheet to keep track of my findings. In the presentation, I included only the areas that needed improvement as well as my suggestions for making those improvements.
