Animation
As a passionate Detroit Red Wings fan, I created this rotoscope animation to highlight an outstanding effort by one of our ex-players, Tomas Tatar. I chose red for Tatar and grey for the opposing players to highlight the action sequence. As for the font choice, Tatar has several tattoos and I felt that a blackletter font best reflected his personal style.
For my final project in a 3D modeling course, I wanted to try using motion capture to create an animation. I created the character using Mixamo Fuse. The animation was roughly motion captured then refined with keyframes. I modeled the table and animated the scene with Autodesk's Maya software.
Using the same character, this walk cycle was animated using keyframes and inverse kinematics.
The classic "Squash and Stretch" assignment, I received bonus points for animating the ball's rotation in addition to its position and shape.
